Computex Technology Solutions Named to Houston Business Journal’s 2020 Best Places to Work, 2nd Year Running

Honored for policies around diversity and inclusion, remote work, and encouraging work-life balance

Houston, TX (October 27, 2020) – Computex Technology Solutions, an American Virtual Cloud Technologies Inc. company and an award-winning solutions provider, today announced it has been named to the Houston Business Journal’s 2020 Best Places to Work rankings. This year marks the second consecutive year Computex has been named to the prestigious list. Recognized in the Large Companies category (100-399 employees), Computex was honored for its policies around diversity and inclusion, remote work, and for encouraging work-life balance.

The Houston Business Journal bases its Best Places to Work rankings on a variety of factors, one of the most important being an anonymous employee survey. All Computex employees, as well as executive management and HR, were queried. Recognition as a Best Place to Work reinforces the company’s corporate values and commitment to ensuring an optimum employee experience.

“The events of 2020 provided Computex with an opportunity to demonstrate our unyielding commitment to our core values and our most valuable asset – our people,” said Worth Davis, President of Computex Solution Provider.  “We have always been at the forefront of technology and currently sell and maintain large remote workforce environments for several national corporations. So, the switch from in-office operations to a remote workforce was fairly seamless. Every Computex employee already had access to remote working equipment, but we knew it was important to go another step further. We offered Personal Protective Equipment and additional gear to make a true home-office environment feel more professional. The result? Employees were able to continue to work safely from home and deliver stellar customer outcomes and service–all while maintaining an ideal work-life balance.”

Additionally, Computex encouraged the teams to embrace the remote working balance by booking meetings around family obligations and promoting a true disconnect after normal working hours (among others).

The company also didn’t permit their dedication to diversity and inclusion to waver during the height of the pandemic. Senior management meets formally each month and a standing agenda item is monitoring the diversity of the company’s workforce and related matters.

“Our commitment to diversity is a reflection of our knowledge that maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce is not only the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do,” said Faisal Bhutto, President of Cloud & Cybersecurity. “Diversity brings unique perspectives to the table resulting in a more competitive organization that’s able to deliver optimum results for our customers and foster a positive work environment.”
